Caribbean

The Caribbean or West Indies is commonly known as one of the best places in the world to go diving, snorkelling and relaxing at one of many beaches. The region comprises more than 7,000 islands, islets, reefs, and cays so there is a wide selection of places to choose from. Bahamas, Barbados, Cayman Islands, Cuba, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, St Kitts and Trinidad are just some examples of popular Caribbean holiday destinations.

Apart from beaches, there are interesting historical cities and mountainous areas for trekking. Lots of people visit the Caribbeans on package trips but independent travellers who like to explore more can go to countries like Cuba and the Dominican Republic.
