Escape to the temperate hill resort of Cameron Highlands. Here the cool, damp climate is perfect for growing flowers and tea and the verdant green slopes of the highlands are dotted with mock Tudor houses, once home to the former British colonists who came here to escape the heat of the lowlands.

Base yourself near the township of Brinchang, with its plethora of restaurants and the Saturday night market. Savour the fresh air as you follow jungle trails which lead you to rushing waterfalls or follow the boardwalk through cloud forest. Refresh yourself with a cup of tea at a tea plantation where you can learn about the tea-making process or indulge in the freshest strawberries and cream at a strawberry farm. Admire the colourful displays at one of the many flower nurseries and be amazed at the size and colour of the butterflies at the butterfly farm.
